The Digital Humanities Research Centre at the University of Chester is seeking to appoint a part time Research Assistant in Digital Humanities for 1 year, and a full time Senior Research Assistant in Digital Humanities for 3 years to be part of an international interdisciplinary team working on the project “Digging into Early Colonial Mexico: A large-scale computational analysis of 16th century historical sources (DigCH)”. This project is funded by Trans-Atlantic Platform for the Social Sciences and Humanities through its ‘T-AP Digging into Data Challenge’, and is a collaboration between the UK (ESRC/AHRC), Mexico (CONACyT) and Portugal (FCT).
You will join an interdisciplinary team of internationally renowned researchers from the UK, Portugal, and Mexico, based at the Universities of Chester, Lancaster University, University of Lisbon and the Museum of Templo Mayor. You will work in the fields of Digital and Spatial Humanities in close collaboration with the team leaders and other Research Associates based in Portugal and Mexico.
